Merrill credit shake-out continues

Merrill Lynch has parted company with its co-head of Asian fixed income after record writedowns led to a management shake-up that has already claimed the scalp of the bank's chief executive.

Ranodeb Roy, co-head of fixed income, commodities and currencies in Asia, has left the Hong Kong-based division, according to an internal memo. Fellow co-chief Antony Hung will take sole responsibility for the unit.
