Merrill hires Dye as expert witness

Court fight with Unilever pension fund moves up a gear

Merrill Lynch Investment Managers has appointed Tony Dye to serve as an expert witness during the court case brought against it by Unilever.

Dye, former investment chief at Phillips & Drew, warned that markets were riding for a fall during 1997 and 1998, the period during which the Unilever pension fund has accused MLIM of negligence.
