Merrill Lynch quits as LSE adviser

Merrill Lynch has quit as financial adviser to the London Stock Exchange (LSE).

Merrill was originally appointed to advise on the now-abandoned merger of the LSE with Germany's Deutsche Börse to create iX-international exchanges.
