Merrill signs up Thomson for wealth platform

Thomson Financial, the information and technology firm, has signed a multi-year contract to jointly develop Merrill Lynch's wealth management technology platform.

While specific terms of the contract have not been revealed, Sharon Rowlands, president and chief operating officer of Thomson Financial, described the deal as the "most significant in the financial information industry to date".
