The debt investor has saved a French education company from entering administration in its first traditional rescue deal

Metric Capital Partners, a debt investor founded by former executives from Terra Firma and TowerBrook Capital Partners, has saved a French education company from entering administration in its first traditional rescue deal.

Metric has become the biggest shareholder in listed tutor provider Domia Group through a refinancing comprising a capital increase that will be followed by a public tender offer for the remaining outstanding shares, according to a statement from Metric. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
