A key MF Global employee who oversaw fund transfers in the final week before the firm declared bankruptcy has been subpoenaed by a US House subcommittee to testify at a hearing next week about the securities firm's collapse.

The Oversight and Investigations subcommittee of the House's Financial Services Committee voted at about 2 pm yesterday to subpoena Edith O'Brien, the company's assistant treasurer when it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection October 31.
