Middle East ECM finishes year with a whimper

Equity capital markets activity in the Middle East hit a three-year low in December, according to new data, with just one transaction announced across the region for the entire month.

Israel telecoms company Cellcom Israel's $73m (€50.9m) placement, announced on December 11 with Deutsche Bank as bookrunner, was December's only transaction.
