Miners and oil giants pull FTSE 100 back

Most UK stocks advanced on Thursday, but a slump in shares of heavyweight oil and mining companies pulled the benchmark index lower.

The FTSE 100 index fell 0.2% to 7,285.44, falling from a one-month closing high reached on Wednesday.
