MLIM hires money market fund business manager from Chase

Jonathan Trotman, formerly at Chase Asset Management, has joined Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM) as a business manager for the money market funds it sells to institutional investors.

Trotman will be responsible for meeting the operational, administrative and marketing needs of MLIM's institutional liquidity funds. MLIM launched these funds in 1998 for managing short-term cash positions. It has now gathered $5bn (€5.8bn) in these funds.
