Morgan Stanley buys Citi’s Tokyo HQ

Morgan Stanley has bought Citigroup’s Japanese headquarters less than a week after shifting its top real estate banker to take charge of its Asian business.

The US bank paid about ¥48bn (€303m) to rival Citigroup for a sale-and-leaseback arrangement, according to people with knowledge of the transaction contacted by Bloomberg.
