Morgan Stanley hires ICMA regulation tsar

Morgan Stanley has hired the head of regulatory policy at the International Capital Market Association, a year after he joined the influential trade body to help its members comply with European Union directives requiring more onerous corporate disclosure.

A source confirmed that Nick Collier, head of regulatory policy at ICMA since the start of February 2006, was joining Morgan Stanley in a similar role.
