Morgan Stanley in line for €9bn Philips chipmaker float

Morgan Stanley is believed to have won a role on potentially one of the largest flotations this year, as Philips Electronics prepares to list a semiconductors business worth about €9bn ($11.3bn).

Banking sources said Morgan Stanley is the only adviser to have been hired at this stage.
