Murray Johnstone price may hit £135m as demand soars

Heavy demand in the auction for Glasgow-based Murray Johnstone could push the final price to as much as £135m (€222m), according to insiders at the firm.

Meanwhile, with final offers due in by Wednesday, there is speculation that one of the interested buyers is Unicredito Italiano, the Italian banking group which is currently buying the US Pioneer mutual funds group for $1.2bn.
