Myners wins Financial News personality of the year award

Capital Group voted best fund manager

Paul Myners, former chairman of Gartmore and interim chairman of Marks & Spencer, was voted personality of the year at this year's Financial News awards for excellence in institutional asset management.

Myners has won kudos from the investment community for fending off a proposed bid by Philip Green for Marks & Spencer. He has also won their respect for his government-commissioned report on the institutional investment industry.
