NAPF-backed online voting service closes

Thomson Financial has closed down the internet-driven proxy voting service E-vote which it was promoting in partnership with the UK's National Association of Pension Funds.

A number of NAPF members had agreed to use the service, but it is understood that Thomson had decided it was not going to be commercially viable as quickly as it had expected.
