NAPF fires defined benefit warning shot

Nearly a quarter of defined benefit pension schemes expect to close to new entrants in the next five years, according to a survey from the National Association of Pension Funds.

The schemes, which guarantee their members minimum pension pay-outs, could be close to extinction as a result of looming deficits and regulatory difficulties.
