Promotion of Nasdaq's most senior European executive ends uncertainty over Eric Noll replacement

Nasdaq OMX has handed its most senior European executive an expanded role covering all of the group's US and European transaction, clearing and settlement businesses following the departure of a long-standing executive last year.

Hans-Ole Jochumsen, previously executive vice-president for Nasdaq's Nordic transaction services and global commodities divisions, was today named as head of a new global markets unit.
