Nasdaq's SuperMontage cleared for launch

Nasdaq has received clearance to launch SuperMontage, its new trading platform, as soon as mid-September - though conditions attached by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) mean that it might have to wait a few extra weeks.

The SEC voted unanimously to allow Nasdaq to launch SuperMontage, a new system for accessing quotes and trading Nasdaq stocks. Nasdaq has provisionally set a launch date of September 17.
