Natural resource boutique scoops Freeport mandate

BlackEagle Advisors, co-founded by Michael Madden, a former star banker at Lehman Brothers, has advised miner Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold on a $735m (€523m) disposal in the boutique's first public mandate.

Freeport-McMoRan sold a wire and cable unit to General Cable, which was advised by Merrill Lynch.
