Nest has recruited its first external investment experts — a former fund manager at the BT Pension Scheme and the head of investment at Dutch pension fund PGGM — as the UK national pension fund’s assets topped £10bn for the first time.

Nest said on 27 January that Jennie Austin and Jaap van Dam have joined its investment committee; the first members from outside the scheme’s governing trustee board.
