GMO appoints new chief executive

GMO, the Boston asset manager co-founded by Jeremy Grantham, said it is starting 2017 with a new chief executive, new hires and new funds.

Scott Hayward, former chief executive of Quantitative Management Associates, a $116 billion investment manager owned by US insurer Prudential Financial, will become GMO's chief executive, according to a January 23 statement.
