New pensions chief will have a full in-tray

Osborne's pensions freedoms, fee caps and auto-enrolment will keep Pensions Regulator's new chief exec Lesley Titcomb busy

After an interregnum of 20 months, the UK’s Pensions Regulator will soon finally have a new chief executive. Lesley Titcomb, formerly chief operating officer at the Financial Conduct Authority, takes over from March 2 – and she will have a full in-tray.

The Regulator has been without a permanent chief executive since June 2013, when Bill Galvin left to take over the leadership of the Universities Superannuation Scheme, the UK's biggest pension fund.
