New Freddie Mac bonds get off to good start

Freddie Mac, the US mortgage refinancing agency, is enjoying strong demand for €5bn ($4.3bn) of new debt that it issued earlier this week.

The company decided to spread the new issue over three existing benchmark issues rather than create a new one. This resulted in the sale of €1bn of 10-year bonds, €1bn of five-year bonds and €3bn of three-year bonds.
