News in brief: Barclays private bank hires regional head

Barclays Private Clients, the wealth management arm of Barclays, has appointed Katherine Murphy-McClintic as head for private banking for the Middle-East, Africa and India.

Murphy-McClintic joins Barclays in London from Financial Resource Group, a private investment bank financing emerging growth companies in the US, where she was a partner and managing director. Private banking, a division of Barclays Private Clients, has over one million clients in 160 countries globally.
