Newton credit chief defects to BAM

Ed Britton has defected from Newton Investment Management, where he was head of fixed income, to become a senior credit fund manager at Baring Asset Management (BAM).

Reporting to Marino Valensise, head of fixed income and currency at BAM, Britton will take responsibility for running a number of segregated aggregate sterling portfolios with a high credit content. He will chair the BAM sterling credit portfolio construction group and will also be a member of the BAM sterling aggregate and index-linked portfolio construction group.
