Nomura hires Lord Marshall as chairman of Europe

Nomura, the Japanese securities firm has hired Lord Marshall as non-executive chairman of its European business. The announcement came just 24 hours after he formally stepped down as chairman of British Airways.

Marshall, who had been with BA since 1983 - and chairman for the past 11 years - becomes chairman of Nomura International and a non-executive director of Nomura Europe Holdings. He will join the bank in October.
