Nomura has hired a senior dealmaker to lead its technology, media and services coverage in Europe, as the Japanese bank looks to bolster its ranks of investment bankers after a surge in M&A activity.

The bank named Simon Russell as head of technology, media and services investment banking for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, according to a memo seen by Financial News.
