Northern Trust wins £1.6bn custody mandate

Global custodian Northern Trust Company has won a £1.6bn (€2.57bn) custody mandate from the Akzo Nobel pension fund.

The pension fund of the chemicals, coating, and healthcare company in the UK replaced its previous custodian, Mellon Trust following a custody review. The fund declined to provide further details on its decision.
