City investment bank Numis warns of ongoing deal slump

The UK-focused investment bank is set to complete its takeover by Deutsche Bank in the final quarter of 2023

City investment bank Numis has warned the deal slump will last the remainder of the year after its revenue declined over the past three months.

The UK-focused bank, which relies heavily on equity capital markets activity, said in a trading update that it expected "macro-economic concerns to persist and restrict deal volumes across all investment banking products".
