Nuovo Mercato faces first company collapse

EPlanet, a broadband telecoms company, is battling to avoid becoming the first company on the Nuovo Mercato in Italy to collapse after burning through all €120m ($107m) it raised in its IPO last year.

The collapse would be a blow to Nuovo Mercato which, along with other high growth markets, has had a dearth of IPOs since the beginning of the year and a slump in investor confidence.
