Liffe co-chief to leave NYSE Euronext group

Finbarr Hutcheson to become sole chief executive of the London derivatives exchange

One of the co-chief executives of NYSE Euronext's London derivatives market is to leave the exchange group, marking the first managerial change at the transatlantic operator since its $10 billion takeover was announced by the IntercontinentalExchange late last year.

Mark Ibbotson, a co-CEO of NYSE Liffe along with Finbarr Hutcheson since July last year, has decided to leave the group to pursue other opportunities, the exchange said in a statement today. Hutcheson will become Liffe's sole chief executive.
