NYSE revenue flat in first half

The New York Stock Exchange reported flat revenues of $539.5m (€495m) in the first half of this year compared to the first six months of 2002, despite a fall in the number of companies joining the exchange.

Revenues in the first half of 2002 were $539.4m. Net income in the first half of 2003 grew by almost a third to $27m compared with $20.7m in the same period in 2002. For the second quarter of 2003 net income doubled to $11.6m compared with $5.6m in the second quarter of 2002.
