NYSE specialists indicted for fraud

US Federal prosecutors have charged 15 former and current New York Stock Exchange floor traders with securities fraud, accusing them of costing investors $19m (€14.7m) by putting their firms' interests ahead of their clients.

The US Attorney's office announced the indictments yesterday at a news conference in Manhattan held jointly with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
