Organic growth lifts profits at BNP funds arm

Organic growth fuelled a sharp rise in profits at the asset management and services division of French bank BNP Paribas in the first quarter, with pre-tax income increasing to €492m ($666m), up 22.7% compared to the same time last year.

The division covers various business streams including asset management, private banking, insurance, real estate services and securities services.
