Panmure Gordon returns to the black

UK mid-cap stockbroker and investment bank Panmure Gordon returned to the black with a profit of £145,000 in the first six months of this year. The last time the firm reported a profit was £6.4 million for the first six months of 2007.

The profits for the six months to the end of June 2013 compare with a loss of £820,000 in the same period last year, when the firm incurred a £2 million loss from ThinkEquity Partners, the US-based investment bank Panmure Gordon exited in March last year.
