The corporate vice-chairman of mid-cap broker Oriel Securities has left after little over a month in the role, Financial News has learnt, following the man who hired him out of the door.

Paul Howard, who joined as corporate vice-chairman on February 18, according to the Financial Services Authority's register of authorised persons, has resigned, according to a source familiar to the situation.
