Hawkpoint, the independent corporate finance advisory firm, has hired Michel Payan, formerly with Crédit Lyonnais, to run its French business.

For ten years until last September, Payan ran Clinvest, Crédit Lyonnais' corporate finance arm, whose principal clients included Lagardere and Vivendi Universal, the French media companies.
