Pennsylvania fund moves into commodities

The Pennsylvania Public School Employees Retirement System, a $57.1bn (€45.1bn) US pension fund, is to take its first step into commodities investment and has hired Deutsche Asset Management, Wellington and Credit Suisse group to manage the mandates.

The fund will commit a 5% allocation to the asset class, to be evenly split between the three managers.
