Pimco loses out to Californian Holocaust law

Pimco, the asset management subsidiary of German insurer Allianz, has become an early victim of new Californian law relating to survivors of the Holocaust, and lost a $119m mandate.

Pimco had a fixed income mandate with the California Community Foundation (CFC), but lost it when the Foundation found that it had failed to comply with a Californian State law which came into force this April.
