Profits and pay jump at Pimco in Europe, despite heavy outflows

The company’s highest-paid director in Europe was awarded £13.4m, 6% more than in 2017

Profits at Pimco, the US bond giant, rose 21% at its European arm last year, despite one of its blockbuster funds haemorrhaging investor money.

According to accounts filed with Companies House, Pimco Europe posted a net profit of £154m for 2018, up from £127m at the end of the previous 12 months.
