Pimco's Zhu leaving for China SWF

A key hedge fund manager and derivatives specialist at Allianz's Pacific Investment Management company is leaving the firm to help manage China's foreign-exchange reserves.

Changhong Zhu, who heads Pimco's derivatives desk, has accepted a position as chief investment officer of the reserve management department at China's State Administration of Foreign Exchange, which manages over $2 trillion (€1.39 trillion) worth of foreign exchange reserves.
