Platinum targets institutions

Eric McAuslan's Platinum Fund Managers is searching for institutional business to slot alongside its £77m (€109m) investment trust business.

McAuslan, 48, used to run Martin Currie's investment trust team and took responsibility for a successful restructuring of Scottish Eastern investment trust, which had a mixed record. He left Currie in 2000 to start Platinum with Adam Mills, former chief executive of Northern Leisure, and Michael Munro, co-founder of Quayle Munro, a financial services boutique.
