Poor turnout for vote on BA accounts

Institutional outrage at the scale of the golden goodbye awarded to British Airways' ex-chief executive, Robert Ayling, appears to have been registered in voting by shareholders at the annual general meeting.

Standard Life had threatened to use its 2.3% stake in the airline to vote against the whole of BA's report in protest at not having the opportunity to vote down Ayling's remuneration.
