Private equity firm swoops for Argentex ahead of emergency sale vote

Argentex has rejected an investment proposal valuing the stricken foreign exchange broker at £10m as shareholders prepare to vote on an emergency sale to rival IFX Payments.

A vehicle managed by Dutch private equity firm Haerlem Capital submitted an alternative, non-binding proposal to Argentex’s board last week, according to a person familiar with the matter.
