Private equity firm Triton to close flagship fund at €5bn

Triton began raising the vehicle earlier this year, initially targeting €4bn, one of the people said

European private-equity firm Triton is set to close its latest flagship fund on the vehicle’s €5bn ($5.6bn) upper limit, said people familiar with the matter, as investors continue to pour money into their favorite buyout funds.

The fund, Triton Fund V, will be the largest in the firm’s 21-year history and was significantly oversubscribed, the people said.
