Private equity 'to improve' in the long-term

Investors, buyout professionals and venture capitalists are pessimistic about the short-term prospects of private equity but confident of a return to form over the longer-term.

Sandra Roberts, chief investment officer at Oxford University Asset Management, summed up earlier discussions amongst investors by predicting “a return to the good old J-Curve”, where returns take longer to be generated.
