EMpower, a charity founded by a group of emerging markets bankers in support of young people in developing countries, raised a staggering $1.3 million at its annual fundraising dinner this week.

A string of senior bankers and investment managers came together at One Mayfair. The charity is supported by a number of high profile institutions and individuals, including Citigroup's global head of markets Paco Ybarra.
