Qimonda float halved on lacklustre demand

Qimonda, a memory chip maker based in Munich, has scaled back its New York flotation to nearly half the planned size blaming difficult market conditions.

Shares in the company were priced 19% below the marketed issue range by bookrunners Citigroup, Credit Suisse and JP Morgan.
