Quant and Qualters

Continuing our occasional series on people in the financial services industry with apposite names, Village was pleased to note that Danny Quant – obviously born for a career in investment consulting – joined Mercer this month. Quant, a maths graduate (of course), will advise institutional clients and third-party providers.

As financially literate types will know, quantitative analysis may be a powerful tool for evaluating instruments but it rarely tells a complete story without the help of its opposite – qualitative analysis. Happily, according to the FSA register, a gentleman named Ross Qualters completed a traineeship and became a full investment adviser with HSBC in November.
