Ratings warning over ThyssenKrupp's Dofasco bid

German steel group, ThyssenKrupp has been warned that it may suffer a credit ratings downgrade following its C$4.8bn (€3.47bn) all-cash recommended counter-bid for Canadian steel maker Dofasco.

In a research note released this morning Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein warned of a possible ratings downgrade from Standard & Poor's should the acquisition be completed.
